Preferred Logo
Use the preferred horizontal logo whenever possible.
Secondary Logo
Use the secondary stacked logo only where space constraints don’t allow use of the horizontal logo.
Logo Usage
Clear Space
Maintain a clear space equal to the height of our mark on all sides of the logo. No other elements such as copy or graphics should encroach into this clear space.
Minimum Size
The preferred logo should never be smaller than .25” tall, and the secondary stacked version never smaller than 1.125” wide in order to maintain readability.
Color Variations
The logo should only be used in the two primary colors (PMS 1797 & PMS 3155) as well as in all black, or knocked out (white) over an image or dark background.
Logo Mark
The logo mark can be used as a branding element and should follow the same clear space, minimum size and color variations guidance as the full logo. When used as a design element, these restrictions do not apply. For possible uses refer to Design Examples.
Logo Misuse
The following are some examples of invalid logo usage.
- DO NOT distort or alter the proportions of the logo
- DO NOT add a drop shadow to the logo
- DO NOT use the logo on a background that impairs legibility
- DO NOT add words or
elements to the logo - DO NOT rotate the logo
- DO NOT use the logo in unapproved color variations
- DO NOT use the word mark on its own
Hospital Lockups
Hospital logos are only approved for use on identified wayfinding signage and entrance doors. They will be created using half the height of our word mark. That height guides the spacing and letter height for the hospital name.

Partnership Lockups
Partnership lockups will only be created when it is a legally required to show a partnership with another organization.
The partner logo will determine which MaineHealth logo visually makes the most sense to use along side it.
