Opening Title Frames

Opening Title Frame Example

Title frames are not necessary for all of our videos and should be used based on the context. They should remain on screen long enough to be read aloud, generally no more than 5 seconds, and then briefly fade out. Make sure to follow our color, typography and graphic element guidelines when creating title frames.

Recommended Font & Size:
Title – Altform Bold / 85pt / Title Case
Subtitle – Noto Sans Regular / 50pt / Title Case

Text-Only Frames

Text Only Frame Example

Different approaches are acceptable and depend on the context, but make sure to follow our color, typography and graphic element guidelines when creating text-only frames.

Recommended Font & Size:
Title – Altform Bold / 85pt / Title Case
Subtitle – Noto Sans Regular / 50pt / Sentence Case

Bug & Lower Thirds

Bug & Lower Thirds Example

The logo mark acts like a “bug” in our videos. It should always be displayed in the lower right corner of the screen, 135px from the edge, at a size of 156px x 72px. The lower thirds treatment is displayed in the lower left corner of the screen and helps identify speakers, credentials, titles and affiliations. It should smoothly appear, stay long enough to read once, and then briefly fade out. The length of the red bar will be determined by the length of text.

Recommended Font & Size:
First Name – Altform Bold / 12pt / ALL CAPS
Last Name/Credentials – Altform Regular / 12pt / ALL CAPS
Bottom Line/Title – Altform Regular / 6pt / ALL CAPS

Information Tag

Information Tag Example

These text bands briefly show up on screen to highlight important details like URLs, dates and photo/video credits. Placement can be determined based on what’s happening visually but should be displayed in either the upper or lower left corner of the screen. The length of the red bar will be determined by the length of text.

Recommended Font & Size:
Altform Regular / 6pt / ALL CAPS
